We are glad that our very own Science for Ukraine UK team member Igor Potapov from the University of Liverpool has successfully applied for an EPSRC’s Global Challenges Research Fund (GCRF) for #ScienceForUkraine. This grant will be used to promote research collaboration with Ukraine along the Digital Theme (Mathematics, Computer Science, Computational Engineering).

The objective of this project is to help Ukrainian academics at Universities and Research Institutes to integrate into the international research network and to find new research contacts. The global idea of the initiative is to facilitate collaboration between UK/international and Ukrainian research groups on individual levels as well as on institutional levels as well as to support the UK-Ukraine twinning initiative. Science for Ukraine led a survey on the professional challenges and support preferences for and amongst Ukrainian researchers who left Ukraine in the aftermath of the Russian invasion. You can read the press release here and the survey results here.
